Beastly

Well I recently hit the dollar cinema to see something I heard a little bit of a buzz about from friends.  Beastly overall was kind of a shit movie to be honest.  Its a retell of beauty and the beast I get that but seriously if your gonna do it please do it some justice!  The story itself is a good one just a more up to date version of BATB I don't mind the concept but the actors and such did it no justice at all.  I've noticed this about the newest generation of actors and actresses they all lack in emotion you know the thing that's portrayed in movies to cause that swell in your chest and the connection between the actor and the viewer.  *Sigh* but what can I do well here is my rating.

Story: wonderful story love the original 5/5
Cosmetics: The main male roles beast look was pretty well done the rest of it didnt matter 3/5
Acting:...the only decent actress in here was Mary-Kate Olsen...and that's saying something. 1/5
Overall Execution: 2/5

So the Grand total rating on my side is 11/20 that's kinda disappointing *sigh* at least I only paid a dollar to see it hell I wouldn't waste my time shoplifting it lol.

Tron Legacy

Regrettably I haven't had the money nor the resources to get out and watch anything new in theaters but I have a roommate who gets new DVDs almost as soon as they hit the shelves.  So his newest edition is "Tron Legacy" honestly due to the fact I've watched the original this movie was utterly breath taking.  I mean hell I almost literally defecated myself when I saw the first preview for it.  Now getting down to the knitty gritty of critiquing movies.  My newer grading system Visual, Story, and Overall execution.

Visual:  Graphics were utterly amazing, absolutely jaw dropping the fact that our technology can actually do Tron cosmetic justice like a face lift that didn't look like Micheal Jackson.  I will definitely give it a 5/5

Story:  The story was definitely interesting and captured my attention but at the same time I knew all the references of the original.  On that note I asked a few people who never even heard about the original who still regardless agreed the story was decent.  They got a little lost here and there but caught back up.  I personally believe that the story line needed a little better flow to it but besides that I'll give it a 4/5 just a little lacking but still AMAZING.

Overall:  In general i have to applaud Disney for doing a damn decent job on Tron Legacy made me wanna re-watch the original and play kingdom hearts 2 :P  So in general my friends an amazing movie that deserves a watch but I guarantee you'll enjoy it more if you watch the original first 9/10 guys go watch it!!! its out on DVD now hit your local retailer or the link in the corner!

The Eagle

An absolutely awesome movie has a very big Gladiator feel to it but!  its based in Britain and not the whole gladiator arena fight bases.  On top of that the story is pretty damn good.  For any guy who wished he was alive back then and has quite an honor code will definitely get into it.  I know I did.  This movies is also based off the book trilogy "The Eagle of the Ninth" by Rosemary Sutcliff  I haven't read the book yet but I plan to as soon as I get a new job and can afford it :P.  Over all I found this movie pretty damn good except its not like gladiator to the point I can watch it over and over its more of a once a month or two type of movie.  So way to go guys 4/5!!!

Season of the Witch

I actually went to go see this movie in theaters I honestly I found this movie to be a major trip and devious fuck.  Definitely fun watching people jump at the scary parts but there was still a little bit of comedy from the lead actors Nicholas Cage has been pretty busy lately with all the movies he's been putting out lately I'll give him damn good props on this role though.  I'd recommend it completely I plan to get it when it comes out.  Grats Cage you get a 4/5 on this one the story is capturing and the overall scenery and acting are wonderful.

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

I have to admit this movie even though its more of teens movie its still pretty alright not something I'd go completely out of my way to watch but I don't mind watching it at all.  Definitely an interesting and funny flick. I'd give it a 3/5 for just a good wholesome movie lol.

The Sorcerers Apprentice

Well what can I say Nicholas Cage and Jay Baruchel in an interesting slightly comical flick.  Now I have to admit they could have done a lot better both of the main actors have more then enough comical talent but this movie overall for me was a little blah.  The actual story itself was pretty decent and I could not help but lmao for some of the scenes especially the "The sorcerers apprentice" scene.  Graphics were good but just overall the movement the flow everything seemed a little off (or at least thats what I got while I was drunk :P.) Regrettably even though its pretty decent it didn't fully make the cut I'd have to give it 2/5.
